About Laura

Laura Baines BSc(Hons) Equine Science, PgDip APhys, IAAT, RAMP

Having always had a love for animals and caring for them, I have know since I was very young that I wanted to work with animals. Following the completion of my degree in Equine science I had discovered an interest in equine performance and rehabilitiation which led a natural path to be studying to become an animal physiotherapist. I feel very lucky to be doing a job I love and get such satisfaction from seeing the beneficial effect my treatment can have on horses and dogs.

Outside of work I own Arnie the staffordshire bull terrier and Doug the Hungarian Viszla. Together we like to go to gun dog and agility training. I also own 2 horses, Cookie the gypsy cob and Boots the thoroughbred cross. I enjoy competing cookie in dressage and the occasional jumping competition for fun.

I am a member of the International Association of Animal Therapists (IAAT) and RAMP (Register of Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioners)  registered gold standard animal physiotherapist which means that I get access to the latest research and attended ongoing CPD training.
